ABOUT THE ARTISTS
David & Isabel
David Megarrity and Isabel Yamazaki first made music as part of the Not Really Billy project, playing the music of Billy Bragg in concert. Isabel (keys & vocals) is an emerging contemporary artist with folk, soul and classical influences, and David (guitar & vocals) is an award-winning playwright and songwriter with a long history in Brisbane bands like Friends of the Iguana, The Goodbye Notes and Tyrone and Lesley. This is their first gig under their own names, so they’re not really sure what they’re going to play yet, but it’ll be beautiful.
The Inadequates
The Inadequates are an award-winning folk trio known for energetic shows, bright suits, and intricate acoustic arrangements on mandolin, guitar, and accordion. With tight three-part harmonies and technical skill, they’ve drawn comparisons to Nickel Creek and Punch Brothers, and have recently released their debut album ‘Haven’t You Heard’.
