Fitzy here from Canterbury's Breeze, I am embarking on a challenge to help support those living with Prostate Cancer in New Zealand.13 years ago I lost my uncle to prostate cancer. He battled it for 10 years. So this cause is personal for me. Also I’m a typical kiwi bloke who avoids the doctors and always thinks "she'll be right" but being the Father to an 8 year old son I want to be there for him and set a good example.
So I have been looking after my health more and reading the stat that we lose 700 men each year has given me a wake up call and the inspiration to do something about it.
I will be down at Jurassic Adventure 239A Opawa Road, Hillsborough on the 20th September from 6am with my co-host Hilary as caddy attempting to putt 700 holes for the 700 men a year that pass away from Prostate Cancer.
The team at NOVUS Glass have come on board and are going to donate a dollar for every hole I make!
Come down and support me on the day and donate here: https://bit.ly/putt4prostate
