The Boxmasters | Formed in 2007, The Boxmasters have recorded an impressive and diverse catalogue ofmusic that touches on their love of a wide array of influences, but most importantly, the rock androll of the 1960’s. Listening to The Boxmasters, one can hear obvious odes to the Beatles, Byrdsand Beach Boys, but also important to The Boxmasters are The Mothers of Invention, KrisKristofferson, John Prine and Big Star. Since forming The Boxmasters, several long-time friends have contributed to the soundof the band, but the core of The Boxmasters has always been J.D. Andrew and Billy BobThornton. As primary songwriters, the sound of the Boxmasters has been an evolution as theduo constantly strive to find new inspiration, new sounds and new ways of expressing what is intheir hearts and on their minds. Fran Moran and The Nervous Wrecks | Fran Moran is the illegitimate son of a certain famous lounge singer and actor (Fran’s first name is taken from his father’s first name) and a Vegas showgirl, who wishes to remain anonymous. His father briefly considered trying to make it work with Fran’s mother, but he washed his hands of the family when he and she fought endlessly about what Fran’s middle name would be. Hey, if you can’t settle on a word, how are you going to settle into a life? Fran’s father, a fixture in Las Vegas, sent little Fran and his mother to live in exile in Switzerland. Safely tucked away in the Alps, the love child would never be found. Fran’s father provided everything they needed and Fran’s mother tried to will Fran to get a college education. But Fran’s path was chosen with his DNA: a musician was all Fran was ever destined to be.
Angela Petrilli is a Los Angeles based guitarist who began playing guitar at the age of 9. Along with a steadily growing online presence with over 200K subscribers, Angela has also worked alongside brands such as Martin Guitars, Gibson, Fender, Universal Audio, and Fishman Transducers.
