The Boot Heel Playboys are a rare gem indeed! An authentic 8 piece Western Swing band from right here in the UK!
Comprised of well accomplished musicians, from various sub-genres under the Roots and Country umbrella, they combine with a passion to encapsulate the dancehall music of Texas, from the 30’s to the 50’s, in the style of it’s original pioneers - Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys, Tex Williams, Hank Thompson and more. Featuring pedal steel guitar, fiddle, piano, trumpet, upright bass, arch top guitars and drums their infectious, driving dance rhythms and soulful cowboy ballads have been wowing audiences across Europe in recent years.
