Join us for The Bookish Buzz, an informal gathering of book lovers! We'll have conversations centered on an author, book, or theme. Hosted by Chapter2 Books at Black Rooster Bistro; we bring together authors or community partners for fun conversations inspired by books while enjoying the ambience and excellent hand-crafted cocktails and curated spirits of Black Rooster Bistro. We are excited to launch the 2026 Bookish Buzz series by welcoming Katie Henry and Kylie Foss, Co-Directors of the Octagon House Museum and the Hudson Area History Connection in conversation as they delve into the importance of local history, their personal and professional experiences, hopes and goals with local history, and how we can all find a deeper connection in the forgotten lives of those who lived before us.
If you joined us in 2024 & 2025 for Booze & Books, you'll notice a similar vibe and format! However, we will no longer be offering a custom cocktail each month, and to prevent disruptions during the presentations and streamline staffing, there will no longer be table service during the event. Plan to purchase your cocktail at the bar before the presentation starts, and arrive early or stay late to enjoy a sublime meal in Black Rooster Bistro’s main dining room.
Whether you're here to learn, share, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, it's the perfect evening out for book lovers and cocktail enthusiasts alike. Both Chapter2 Books and Black Rooster Bistro look forward to welcoming everyone for another great year of bookish conversations.
