This spring, explore three novels that served as source material for film/television adaptations with "The Book Was Better," a book discussion series led by SECCA executive director Bill Carpenter. All discussions are free and open to the public.
The series' May installment will feature a discussion of Kazuo Ishiguro's 2006 novel Never Let Me Go, in which the lives of ordinary citizens are prolonged through state-sanctioned human cloning. The book is available for purchase at SECCA's gift shop.
All discussions take place in the historic Hanes House on SECCA's grounds. There are no tests, so feel free to attend even if you don't open or finish the book.
Handicap parking for the Hanes House is located directly in front of the historic home, on the cobblestone driveway.
