“All the world’s a stage and all men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, and one manin his time plays many parts.” William Shakespeare
Be prepared to have your ideas about Shakespeare turned on their heads when Columbia Center for the Arts presents
THE BOOK OF WILL by Lauren Gunderson
Without William Shakespeare, we wouldn’t have literary masterpieces like Romeo and Juliet. But without Henry Condell and John Heminges, we would have lost half of Shakespeare’s plays forever! After the death of their friend and mentor, the two actors are determined to compile the First Folio and preserve the words that shaped their lives. They’ll just have to borrow, beg, and band together to get it done. Amidst the noise and color of Elizabethan London, THE BOOK OF WILL is "a funny and vivid ode to Shakespeare's Legacy."
THE BOOK OF WILL runs Sept. 12,13, 20, 21, 26 & 27 at 7:30 pm with matinees on Sept. 14 & 21 at 2pm
