I first saw The Book of Revelations at HRH Prog and was immediately taken - for me, a heady mix of pastoral melodic music (think Anthony Phillips era Genesis), witty lyrics, bass pedals (oh yes!), classic Greek themes in modern dress, plucked twin guitars and soaring lead and lush keyboards and did I mention bass pedals?
There is a definite Genesis influence, but consciously a homage, not plagiarism. Subsequent outings were unfortunately, due to circumstances, not a full band. However, the band will be playing with a full line-up at The Old Rectory!
The first album "Plumes of Encaladus" has been variously described as:
- a musical sacrilege that an album of this quality has been overlooked
- If you're a fan of real early 70's progressive rock and Genesis with Peter Gabriel.... an album not to be missed.
The new album is even better...
