Those familiar with the legend of The Boognish know that he holds a special place in his heart for the city up on the hill, down by the river, known as Denver. He ensures his only begotten sons, Gene and Dean Ween, make annual pilgrimages to the glorious metropolis. In his infinite knowledge, The Boognish knew that this city needed its own prophets, born to celebrate the Brown and give praise unto Boog. It was thus that one fateful day in 2020, The Boognish, calling upon the forces of time and space, created The Grobes in his own image.“Everything that you are, that you’d like to be, will come in three, my friend”, the Boognish declared as he bestowed The Grobes upon the fair city. Upon this utterance, three figures appeared, emerging from a brown haze near the feet of the Boog. A trio, one carrying a bass, another a guitar, the third sitting atop a throne behind a drumset. The people of the city of Denver joined together in merriment and song with The Grobes to praise the mighty Boog and celebrate the wonderful music of Ween. A man walked through the crowd, making his way to the front where he asked the three prophets to say something to address the gathering. One of the three smiled, nodded, and said “It’s gonna be a long night”.
On the 21st of February, The Grobes will bring the praise to Cactus Jack’s in Evergreen, it would serve you well to be there to join in merriment and song while bringing your offerings to the Almighty Boognish.
