Originaire de l'État de New York, Jonathon Linaberry, alias The Bones of J.R. Jones, a débuté dans le punk avant de se tourner vers les enregistrements folk et blues d'Alan Lomax. Depuis 2012, il a sorti trois albums et plusieurs EPs acclamés, et ses chansons ont rythmé des séries comme Suits et Daredevil. Artiste indépendant et performeur inlassable, il a également partagé la scène avec The Wallflowers et G. Love, et a collaboré avec le réalisateur oscarisé Taika Waititi. Son nouvel album, « Slow Lightning », marque un retour aux racines country et explore les thèmes du doute et du désir, ajoutant une nouvelle dimension à son œuvre.

Jonathon Linaberry, ook gekend als The Bones of J.R. Jones, komt uit de staat New York en begon zijn carrière in de punk voordat hij zich ging richten op de folk- en bluesopnamen van Alan Lomax. Sinds 2012 heeft hij drie veelgeprezen albums en verschillende EP’s uitgebracht, en zijn liedjes hebben de toon gezet in series als Suits en Daredevil.
Als indieartiest en onvermoeibare performer heeft hij ook het podium gedeeld met The Wallflowers en G. Love, en heeft hij samengewerkt met de Oscarwinnende regisseur Taika Waititi. Zijn nieuwe album ‘Slow Lightning’ is een terugkeer naar zijn country roots waarop hij thema’s als twijfel en verlangen verkent, wat een nieuwe dimensie toevoegt aan zijn werk.
