The Body Speaks: Yoga Retreat Day

A day of yoga, somatic movement and poetry for those seeking ease and inspiration.

This one-day retreat is designed to bring you closer to the felt sense of your body and tap into your creative side through movement, language and reflection.

When: Saturday 30th November, 10am – 4pm

Where: , Manor Road, Eastham, Wirral

What to expect:

The day will centre around two yoga practices which will be woven-through with elements of poetry, journalling, and breathwork to help you find your sense of flow. The day will close with restorative yoga and relaxation ready for a peaceful evening.

No prior experience with journalling, poetry or somatic movement is required to attend the day, though some familiarity with a yoga practice will be helpful.

By the end of the day, you will feel deeply nourished, relaxed and connected to your inner creative. You will leave with a sense of what is possible when you let go of thoughts and expectations and are guided by your felt sense and intuition.

A light lunch will be provided, as well as drinks and refreshments throughout the day.

Your guide for the day:

Charlotte Walker is a Level 2 certified yoga teacher with over six years of experience teaching diverse groups and training in embodied and somatic movement facilitation. She is also a published writer and lifelong poetry lover.

This retreat is perfect for you if

- you already have a yoga practice and want to connect deeper to your body’s intelligence

- you don’t have a yoga practice, but have a creative passion or pursuit for which you are seeking fresh inspiration

- you want to let go of physical or mental tension and unwind through movement

Venue and travel information:

Monks Cottage Sanctuary is a beautiful, historic space located on Manor Road in Eastham, Wirral. Enjoy the bright and spacious studio, stroll through beautiful zen gardens, and get cosy in the communal living areas.

Manor Road is located just of Bridle Road in Eastham and is accessible via the new Chester Road (A41) from Liverpool and north Wirral, and the M53 from the South/Chester.
