Step into The Bloom Room: An Immersive Healing Environment for SurvivorsImmersive Artist, Lyshell McBride, invites you to a unique, immersive healing environment designed specifically for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. This is more than art. It’s a journey through feeling, expression, and collective strength.
The Bloom Room is a free, donation-based survivor-centered space that offers a journey through creative expression and community.
💠 Immersive Stations Include:
🌱 Seed Planting Station: Symbolically plant glowing seeds of growth and intention in UV-reactive "soil."
🪞 Mirror Garden of Affirmations: Move through a serene floral space where mirrors reflect your power—each one etched with healing words and survivor truths.
🖼️ Survivor Art Gallery: A quiet corner to witness artworks by survivors—raw, real, and resilient.
🌀 Intuitive Painting Tables: Let your hands speak. Paint what words can’t say on small canvases, guided by emotion and music.
🐦 Interactive Birdcage Installation: Step into a large sculptural cage—where Maya Angelou’s words echo: “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.” Leave behind what no longer serves you.
🎶 Live DJ Soundscape: Music that begins soft and grounding, rising into warrior-woman anthems that make your chest vibrate.
💜 The Center for Sexual Assault Booth: Trained advocates will be present with resources, a calming presence, and safety options.
🥊 Optional: Punching Bag Release Zone: A space (pending confirmation) to channel rage, grief, or frustration through movement.
