Get Tickets at https://guestlist.co/events/780636Join this easygoing “race,” (“A Run for the Rest of Us”) at the Port Townsend Golf Course. (1948 Blaine Street.) Good-natured hi-jinks start at high noon, (including a BuVu Priest taking Canine Confessions! Maybe even a Doggy Kissing Booth!).
The “runners” begin at the launch pad for the Driving Range. They will head for the 250 yard flag. When they get there, no doubt exhausted, we will have cookies and other non-alcoholic goodies to restore their joie de vivre. Then, rounding the flag, they’ll head back for the Clubhouse. WE’RE TALKING 500 YARDS!
This event, produced by The Humane Society of Jefferson County and the Church of BuVu of Port Townsend, supports several Jefferson County non-profit organizations that support beasts and children, to wit:
The Humane Society of Jefferson County, the YMCA “Building Futures” Program, AEF (Applied Education Foundation,) devoted to offering kids participation in S.T.E.A.M. Projects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), Kicks for Kids (Shoes!) Maybe more, depending on how many “racers” show up.
