About this Event
Join us in celebrating our second year of The Black Woman is Art Exhibition!
"The Black Woman is Art: A Celebration of Emotions" is an exhibition that showcases the depths of black women's emotions through various mediums of photography and modeling.
Each model embodies a unique emotional experience, ranging from sadness and depression to frustration and overwhelm, as well as serenity, peace, freedom of movement, rage, and anger. These feelings reflect stages of vulnerability, illustrating the beauty of being your authentic self while navigating life. It is through these expressions that we liberate ourselves and embrace the depth of our relationship with our feelings.
The phrase "The Black Woman is Art" serves as a powerful reminder of the beauty and uniqueness that every woman possesses. It is a living testament to resilience, beauty, and emotional authenticity. Join us on the First Friday of April for a walk-through gallery experience filled with performances, live painting, and light fare.
Please Note: ENTRY FEES FOR DONORS ARE FREE. All other guests are required to purchase a ticket.
