The Birth Play Project, a Minneapolis-based theatre company committed to reproductive justice, presents their adaptation of Shakespeare's "Measure for Measure" here at St. John's church. Long-considered one of the Bard's thorniest "problem plays," the story is about a moral panic, a transfer of power, a city in chaos, and a birth in a prison. (CW: discussion and depiction of childbirth, some blood.)The performance runs 85 minutes with no intermission.
