About this Event

I was thinking of installing the wings on the red pylons from 4pm

Then having the Dancers perform around sunset time - it would be around 8pm.

I would use the same group of dancers if I could, and could do a tick tock with the children of lir story making feathers while I am telling the story.

This is the onset of the project Symbols of Mobility.

This is multidisciplinary work - a combination of fine art textile, performance and photography.

The work is developed by Niki Collier, an award winning visual artist in collaboration with award winning photographer Barry Cronin and the dancers Dominic Harrigton, Vitor Bassi and Yves Lorrhan.

Using the Grand Canal Dock red rods to represent the acupuncture needles of healing.

The engagement mobilises the 3 meter silk and wool handmade wings to explore childhood abuse.

The dancers are performing the moment of transforming back from swans to boys.
