We welcome you to join us for “The Bird and the Brush”, a special four-day art exhibition celebrating the beauty and diversity of Australia’s magnificent birdlife. Experience stunning original paintings and giclee reproductions by some of the Australia’s most gifted wildlife artists.
🖌️ Featured Artists in Residence - Come along and meet some of the talented creators behind the brushstrokes who will be in residence for the duration of the exhibition. James Hough, Natalie Jane Parker, Stephen Jesic, Stephen Bennett & Florence Humphreys (Saturday & Sunday only).
📢 Expert Talks - Join us for informative talks about creating the perfect habitat for birds, sustainability and the environment on Saturday & Sunday from 11am.
🌱 Native Tube Stock Giveaways - Landcare will be giving away native tube stock over the weekend to help encourage birds into your backyard. Maitland City Council will be giving away 200 seedlings on Saturday from 10am.
🌿 Outdoor Displays - Explore displays from Landcare on the gallery lawn Saturday and Sunday.
🎁 Win a Framed James Hough Giclée Reproduction - Every purchase at the gallery during the exhibition will be given an entry.
Coinciding with the Great Aussie Bird Count we are excited to host this informative exhibition to spread the word about biodiversity, sustainability and the environment to protect our precious Australian birds.
