The Bionic Babes are a duo of Baby Boomers who play an eclectic mix of soft rock, folk, standards, calypso, pop, country and more! Each of the Babes has a Titanium hip or two, and between them, they have over 60 years of experience as professional New York musicians. Together, they have a camaraderie that infuses their music with a groovy exuberance!
Born (3) days apart in Da Bronx, NY, during the fabulous age that became known as the "Baby Boomer" era, both Joanne & Nina were raised on Long Island NY.
Both enjoyed exposure to various genres of music while growing up, and their eclectic repertoire reflects the rich background of their youth.
The "Bionic Babes" got their name simply because, like many other Baby Boomers, both of these talented women have replaced various worn-out body parts with titanium prostheses. Through the miracle of modern medicine, these ladies will keep on rockin' for decades to come!
