About this Event
Our vision is to improve cancer care by creating a spacious, modern, welcoming environment for patients and staff, with digital consulting rooms, multidisciplinary clinics and quiet rooms, that is well lit and connected to the therapeutic outside space.
Working in close partnership with Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is supporting the charity’s Big Space Cancer Appeal, which launched in September 2024. You can read more here: The Big Space Cancer Appeal - Help us transform cancer care in Gloucestershire
The appeal aims to raise £17.5m to transform cancer care at CGH through the development of a modern, new state-of-the-art facility (adjoining East Block opposite Keynsham Road) that will make a lasting impact on thousands of patients across the region who rely on our specialist services. Together, we have successfully raised £8.3m, which is almost half of the total.
To help improve understanding of our vision and the future of cancer services at Cheltenham, we are holding an engagement session for patients and the public on January 24th. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available. This will allow you to view the designs, hear from clinical staff and share your thoughts on our plans. You will also have the opportunity to get more involved in this project, should you wish to.
Please note this is a drop in engagement, but it would be helpful if you could book a place (this is free) so we have an idea of numbers to enable us to cater accordingly. We look forward to welcoming you.
