About this Event
Lead Ranger: Jo Howard Mobile: 07920 643 363
Transport & Address:
We will be working at Coombe Hill National Trust. We will meet on site at 10:00am and finish at approximately 15:45. We will meet at the vehicle gate opposite the Ellesborough golf club HP17 0TZ. Please park considerately in the golf club car park as far away from the club house so that members can have the closest spaces.
Please car share where possible.
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.
You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!
We also have space for 2 volunteers to meet us at the Kingsmead Depot HP11 1SL and get a lift to and from site in one of our trucks. Please email [email protected] if you would like a lift.
The Task:
We will be raking up scrub and bramble in order to improve the habitat for wildflowers and to prevent the glades from getting overgrown along with a few other tasks.
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task - long trousers and sleeves are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids!
We are going to be bringing a tea kit again and biscuits as usual. We don't think we will be using loud machinery today, so a peaceful session and one with lovely views.
Hand washing facilities will be available.
Volunteering and COVID:
Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you want to discuss anything further.
