Join Lucy aka The Nottingham Forager for a second fun filled fungi hunt! Learn all about mushroom safety, sustainability and hopefully find something to take home. I can never guarantee there will be mushrooms but we always have fun looking!
Expect a stop-start walk with chance to explore your surroundings. Please dress for the weather and bring a small bag, basket or tub for your forged finds if you want to.
If the fungi isn't popping we will forage for some other wild foods instead.
We meet at Bulwell Hall Park - main entrance. Adjacent to the Bulwell Toy Library. Start time is 12 o'clock. Please try and arrive a little early if you can! Early birds get the mushrooms!
Bring the kids, bring the dog, bring the uninterested spouse!
Total walking distance will be around 1.5 miles mostly on paths. There will be some challenging bits, especially if we have had rain, so please do get in touch to talk about accessibility. I will always try and accommodate where I can.
Socially anxious? These big groups can be a little overwhelming but feel free to bombard my inbox with as many questions as you like! You are welcome to arrive early or come in late, whatever is easiest for you.
Worried about the wildlife? 🤔 A lot of time and planning goes into my larger pay as you feel walks. Not only will we not be upsetting the local wildlife, we will also pick some litter as we go and leave the area a little nicer than when we found it.
I'll be explaining as we go how to keep it sustainable and I'll have my whistle on me in case I spot anyone misbehaving.
Session is PAY AS YOU FEEL - suggested contribution is £5 but it's just a suggestion. You can also pay with none-monetary payments like home grown veggies, fruits, vegan baking, jam, wine, anything crafty at all! I love hats, scarves, mittens, mushrooms, rainbows and bright colours 🤩
