The first game of rugby played between Vietnam's two biggest and longest standing clubs was first played in 1994.
Over the years there has been a range of 15s, 10s and (coming soon) 7s played between the 2 behemoths with the spoils going to both sides. To date, mostly men's rugby, but increasingly more women's matches, too.
2026 sees the first formal annual 1994 Cup and each year there can only be one winner to take the trophy home and keep bragging rights for the following 12 months.
