With beginnings in Kansas City in the 1930's, the Count Basie Orchestra helped to set the standard for performance, improvisation, and writing for the traditional big band. This program will feature the music of the Basie Band with the writing of Benny Carter, Frank Foster, Freddie Green, Quincy Jones, and Sammy Nestico. Come and join us at the National Blues Museum to see this incredible band perform in the Legends Room!The show begins at 7:30 PM and goes until 9:00 PM. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
