Join us for a night of Western Swing with The Best Westerns.
The Best Westerns play western swing with a big band beat. If folks are dancing, we're in business.
THE BEST WESTERNS
From Wisconsin Public Radio and npr:
"Melding instrumental virtuosity and the powerful charm of classic songs old and new, from way our West to Tin Pan Alley, this six-piece band is nicknamed "Milwaukee's Western Swing Kings." Founder and bass violinist Mark Hembree has performed with Bill Monroe and Randy Travis, and helped form the Nashville Bluegrass Band, which later went on to perform the music soundtrack for the movie, "Oh Brother Where Art Thou." With fiddle, piano, guitar, steel guitar, acoustic bass and drums, The Best Western's musical repertoire ranges from Bob Wills to Benny Goodman, with stops along the way for Slim Gaillard, Speedy West, Count Basie, Carl Smith, Ray Price and many more."
