Long before Tai Chi, there was Qigong. Qigong is the ancient Chinese form of movement that connects the Mental/Emotional body, with the Spiritual and Physical Body of each person. 'Qi' means energy or life force and 'Gong' means work or skill. Qigong is the practice of mind, body, and spirit in coordinated movement with breath and concentration to energize and heal the body. This is an active form of guided meditation for all people of all faiths and beliefs. Medical Qigong focuses on different parts and organs of the body to establish vibrant health.
