THE BEGINNINGS OF BIRMINGHAM: BEORMA TO THE MARKETS

Join us as Carl Chinn, in his inimitable style, discusses the early origins of Birmingham, from Anglo-Saxon to medieval times.

Carl is a social historian with a national profile, and the author of some 35 books, many of them on the history of Birmingham.

This talk is part of our exhibition, "Project Time Machine: Digging into Birmingham's Past," which is being held on 30 June, 1 July and 3 July, at Birmingham Friends of the Earth. You will feel as if you are visiting an actual archaeological dig site in the centre of Birmingham!

Carl's talk is free but tickets are limited and booking is essential.

The venue is Friends of the Earth, Allison Street, Birmingham B5 5TH. The venue cafe will be open for the event.

A Midland Actors Theatre production.
