Footy Fans and Beer lovers rejoice, for the Beer Footy and Food Festival is back, and its going bigger and bolder than ever before. We're bringing not just one event, but two huge festivals over three days to this year’s footy season here in Sydney. Our Annual mainstay event, which we have hosted 7 interactions of at Henson Park, returns after its biggest year to date, with over 11,000 attending the 2023 event!
SATURDAY JULY 27 HENSON: The 1981 Grand Final Replay
It’s often said that when you walk through the gates of Henson Park it’s like travelling back in time, so we’re taking you back to the legendary 81’ grand final between the Mighty Newtown Jets and Parramatta Eels. The faces may have changed but the passion is still there, and Jets fans never forget. Let’s just hope they don’t burn down the grandstand if they win like the Eels fans did after their victory in 81!
And if that’s not enough nostalgia, fan favourites the Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA) legends will be back, taking the big hits to the next level. There are no mid-week trips to the judiciary for foul play amongst this lot. Expect plenty of high shots, low shots, late shots, dirty shots, and everything in between that you can’t do on the footy field. Good old wholesome family entertainment that will leave the most die-hard fans salivating for more!
