The Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators is an annual fundraiser for Volunteers for Youth Justice. This delicious family-friendly event is conveniently located at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport. Gumbo Gladiators from near and far cook over 50 pots of gumbo and battle for the title of Ultimate Gumbo Gladiator in these categories: chicken/sausage, seafood and lagniappe. All proceeds from this event support services for children, youth and families in crisis.There will be other food vendors, raffle items, and a children's area with crafts, face painting, and other fun activities for the kiddos.
