WHAT?!?! Yep, it's true! The Bats have a show coming up in December! We'll play all your old faves and deliver the ho ho hos just in time for the holidays! Here are the answers to what are sure to be your FAQs.Q. Where and when?
A. Wednesday, December 11, 8-10:00 pm at Henry Clay's Public
House on Upper Street. We'll quit at 10:00 'cause we'll be
past our bedtimes by then.
Q. Why in the world are you doing this on a Wednesday night? A. Long story, but Wednesdays are when Jim Gleason and Steve
Lyons usually play at Henry Clay, and they kindly offered us
their spot. It seemed rude to say no!
Q. Is there a cover charge?
A. Nope! But there will be a tip jar. Pony up, girls!
Q. Can I make a reservation?
A. Nope! Not even if you're a Bat relative.
Q.. Where can I park?
A. Beats us! There's a UK home game that night, so carpool or,
better yet, Uber to the Pub (and back home). BTW, there are
TVs behind the bar for those who want to watch the Cats beat
Colgate.
Q. Does the Pub serve food?
A. Just FREE POPCORN, but if you want something more, you
can BYO or order in.
Q. What's the drink situation?
A. Just about anything you want. You'll be well taken care of by
Richard, the best barkeep in town, and his crew.
Q.. Can we sit down in the Pub?
A. There are tables near the stage and tables (and a fireplace!)
near the front door, plus many barstools at the bar and along
the wall. We suggest comfy footwear for people who are
unable to snag a table.
Q. Will it be loud in there?
A. Quite possibly. Bring earplugs if you need 'em, or a hearing
aid if that's your jam.
Q. How old are The Bats these days?
A. Mind your own beeswax!
