Fall is here, and so is one of our most popular workshops! The Bat is an improvised format you’ll have to hear to believe: a soundscape of voices, words, and images that takes place entirely in the minds of the audience. This five-hour intensive digs deeper into scene work for The Bat and explores how to apply these skills to other spooky formats like the Nightmare. Perfect for ensemble building or performance, The Bat offers a thrilling sense of freedom for the performer. You’ll leave this workshop bewitched by all its possibilities.
This course will focus on:
- Deep listening
- Ensemble work
- Following associations and dream symbols
- Creating & sharing soundscapes and characters
- Letting go and finding freedom in the dark
