The Basics of Maintaining a Native Plant GardenHayden Remick founded Remick Native Landscapes after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History at Goucher College (2013) and a Master’s of Science in Sustainable Design at Philadelphia University (2020). After years of work managing sustainable garden programs for commercial and charitable institutions in the region, He established a small business to help homeowners and others create beauty and environmental resilience in residential landscapes. Hayden also wants to spread the joy he has found working with native plants and ecosystem restoration. Hayden is committed to building and helping others enjoy a sustainable world.
This presentation will cover many aspects of designing and maintaining a Native Plant garden with a focus on attracting birds to your yard. The conversation will cover ideas ranging from basic methods to start a garden, plant selection and arrangement, maintenance considerations and others strategies for maximizing the ecological benefits of your space
