'The battle between good and evil has grey areas. But I think killing me with a spade puts him firmly on the devil's side.'
Summer, 1827. In a red barn in Suffolk, England, Maria Marten awaits her lover. A year later, her body is found. It was an event that had all the hallmarks of a classic crime drama, but in the hysteria, Maria’s story got lost. Until now. This spine-tingling version rediscovers her story, bringing it back to vivid, urgent life.
