Drawing from their different strengths and experiences ranging from countless bands, Cirque Du Soleil, Broadway musicals and more this powerhouse all star group promises to provide a show that is deeply routed in traditional jazz whilst forging new ground. BROOKE MAXWELL Brooke Maxwell is a freelance musician based in Victoria, BC, Canada. He is also a sound designer, composer, arranger and the co-creator of the acclaimed Ride the Cyclone (Chicago, NY Off-Broadway, Seattle, Atlanta & Minneapolis). He recently produced the cast album for RTC, which is now available through Warner Brothers on all major streaming services. PATRICK BOYLE Patrick Boyle is a musician and composer who plays trumpet and guitar. Currently, he is Associate Professor at the University of Victoria School of Music. In 2022, he released his 7th solo album entitled Stepworks, a compilation of musical creations for American choreographer Justin Rapaport. Check out www.patrickboyle.ca for more info.
SCOTT WHITE Victoria welcomes home local legend Scott White. Scott left Canada to become the Musical Director, bandleader and bass player for Berlin’s Cirque du Soleil. A gifted bassist, pre-Covid he toured around Europe and North America collaborating with many renowned musicians in styles ranging from Russian Folk and Gypsy Swing to Free Jazz. Scott is a very entertaining player to hear and watch. His sound palette encompasses many unorthodox percussive and melodic effects. AVRAM MCCAGHERTY Avram has founded popular local bands such as The Stomp Club, The Dixie Sweethearts and The Capital City Syncopators. He also plays with The Yiddish Columbia State Orchestra, Canus, Dixieland Express, Blackstick, Twango and the Vanity Project. Avram has spent years learning to emulate the great Swing Guitar legends of the ‘30s and has a very rhythmic authentic sound.
