About this Event
Is the world really as it appears? Or is our perception of reality an illusion driven by our own beliefs, desires, and expectations? In this month’s Salon, neuroscientist Sanjeev Namjoshi will teach us about a theory called predictive processing that’s transforming the way we think about the brain and how it makes sense of reality. This view of the mind calls into question everything from how we perceive, to how we feel emotion, experience selfhood and free will, and form beliefs. Break out your philosopher’s pipe, folks, because this time we’re getting deep.
Join us for a night of learning, drinks, and discussion at The Austin Salon, a social club for curious Austinites.
