The Austin Pancakes & Booze Art ShowAustin's Underground Pop-Up Art Show is BACK at The Far Out Lounge & Bar on September 30th, 2023.
This edition also features live performances from Minneapolis punk band Off With Their Heads and Seattle rock band Dead Bars! Off with Their Heads formed in 2002, borrowing members from Minneapolis punk and hardcore institutions like Dillinger Four, Dear Landlord, Banner Pilot, and the Fake Boys, among others.
Dead Bars began in Seattle when punk drummer John Maiello picked up a guitar and started writing short blasts of no-bs-power-punk-rock in 2013. Soon after, NJ punk drummer C.J Frederick joined to play drums and guitar. They quickly recorded 6 songs which made their way onto an EP and split 7" on legendary No Idea Records in 2014.
Come experience one of the largest pop-up art movements to hit North America over the past decade. Celebrating over 10 years of serving FREE PANCAKES and introducing you to some of the nation's leading emerging artists.

ABOUT The Pancakes & Booze Art Show:
The LA based event originated in 2009 and has since popped up more than 500 times in 35+ cities around Europe & North America.
Batter sizzles, beer foams, and canvas lines the walls from ceiling to floor as hundreds, sometimes thousands, of revelers indulge in endless pancakes.
This is no stuffy wine-and-cheese, pretentious, someone-gag-me art event. It’s an innovative reimagining of the art show concept. A welcoming vibe for up-and-coming artists to sell and strut their stuff in a free verse, anything goes environment.
