THE ARTISTRY OF TAQSIM with TARA YASMINOpen level Taqsim (taqasim -plural), a solo melodic improvisation, is an important staple of Middle Eastern music and provides the dancer with an opportunity to showcase their technical skill and musicality. In this workshop you will learn about taqsim and where you might find it, drill core movements and techniques, and play around with some strategies to feel confident and grounded when dancing on taqasim.
