The Artist Garden is a program run and created by Lacroy “atlas” Nixon, as poet laureate of Williamsburg, Virginia. It is a high school youth program that teaches students how to write and perform spoken word poetry, and also how to run a vents and initiatives behind the scenes.The artist garden grand slam is a youth slam poetry competition performed and run by the students in the program.
