About this Event
I will hold a tea ceremony with the clear and white tea utensils for the early summer!
How to enjoy tea ceremony in the Summer? Our founding tea master, Sen no Rikyu, left the seven rules. One of these rules is “In the summer suggest coolness, in the winter, warmth.” For example, the shape or material of the tea bowl. Shallow and very flat tea bows are often used in the summer. If you make tea in this shallow tea bowl, the water cools down rather quickly. I use even clear glass tea bowls and other utensils that visually suggest the coolness.
Light-transmitting glass, crystal, and mother-of-pearl tea utensils. My early summer tea ceremony uses these to create a cool summer. Please join us and enjoy the summer tea ceremony!
Talk about the history of the Japanese tea ceremony.I would like to talk about the seven rules of Sen no Rikyu.
Most of them could be used in modern life.
