Tea is steeped in superstition and reading fortunes with it hearkens back to days of the old divinatory art forms of the Shamans; interpreting symbols, patterns and formations made by random objects. Tasseomancy is the Art and Practice of divination by the interpretation of symbolic patterns made by tea leaves (or coffee grinds) in a teacup. This course focuses on tea alone.With over 30 years experience as a tea leaf reader, and over 20 years teaching Tasseomancy, Amy will share with you all her knowledge and the method she started with when she began using the Art. In this course we will take you into the more finite details of tea leaf reading.
Throughout the course Amy will be discussing how this form of divination came to be the Art it is today. She also will be be covering the history of tea reading and tea as well as discussing what teas are best for cup reading. She will help you discover the nuances of teapots, teacups & saucers, and their significance in the Tasseomancers process. You will also learn how to brew a proper cup of tea for a reading, the compass of the cup, how to toss your cup to obtain an effective leaf spread in the cup. We will learn about symbolism attached to the Art and look at your intuition’s interpretations.
By the end of this weekend course you will be equipped with all the tools you will need to continue your practice, and to be able to grow your skills to be an effective and adept Tasseomancer.

A video tour of Amy’s Museum of Tasseomancy which was on display at the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick in Cleveland Ohio for a year. Part of the collection is now at Billings National Historic Site on Ottawa for their Steeped in Traditions exhibition on until October 13th, 2024. The rest of the collection (170+ objects) will be on display for the month of October at McFarland House Museum and Tea Room, in Niagara on the Lake.
