The Art of Storytelling with Timothy Coleman, BronxNet's Director of Education
Join us for an inspirational, creative session at BronxNet Media + Technology Studios in The South Bronx!
Learn from the talented storyteller, Broadway performer, and Grammy-nominated Songwriter Timothy Coleman, as he shares his tips and tricks for crafting compelling narratives.
Using examples from BronxNet's TV show, “The Bronx Edulution”(Season 3), written, hosted, and produced by Mr. Coleman, this workshop will take a look at the various characters and storytelling opportunities that will help you bring your POV to life for your intended audience.
Participants will learn how to develop engaging content ideas, plan for unexpected outcomes, visually “set the scene for success, " and partner with technical staff to bring your vision to life.
This series ends with each participant giving a short presentation to the class, based on either a character they've developed, or by performing a short monologue to "kick off their show". (Don't worry, we keep it simple!)
