An Evening of Blending, Tasting & Flavor Discovery
Enjoy an evening of spiced snacks and drinks while you learn about the art and science of spice blending. In this intimate 12 person workshop, Curio’s founder will guide you through a sumptuous exploration of spice — from their origins and aromas to their transformative role in food and drink.
Throughout the evening, you’ll craft your own bespoke spice blend, savor seasonal bites and drinks infused with Curio’s signature blends, and immerse yourself in the art of flavor.
Your evening includes:
- An introduction to Curio’s rare, directly sourced spices
- A guided journey through our Spice Flavor Wheel
- Seasonally inspired grazing platters and drinks showcasing our blends
- A live blending demonstration from Curio's founder and blender-in-chief Claire Cheney
- Hands-on blending: create both a Curio classic and your own unique signature blend
- A salon-style conversation on using spice to elevate everyday cooking
You’ll leave with Curio’s Spice Flavor Wheel, blending recipes, and two beautiful jars of the blends you created — a lasting reminder of a wonder-filled evening.

Directions: The Spice Lab is immediately adjacent to our spice shop, at 2267 Massachusetts Ave. Metered parking is available along Mass Ave, or there is a lot at the intersection of Day Street and Herbert Street towards Davis Square if you don't mind a quick walk!

Claire Cheney founded Curio Spice Co. in 2015 to source spices directly from small sustainable and socially responsible farms and share their stories through her unique blends. She's worked in the specialty food and restaurant industry since 2008 and has spent years hunting spices all over the globe.
