When Edward Drummond Libbey spoke these words at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Inaugural Address over 110 years ago, he could not have anticipated how poignant these sentiments would ring for future generations. His contributions to Toledo’s artistic education and acquisition are still felt today. But Edward was only one person out of many who contributed to the successes of TMA. Many of these innovators now rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, having taken their incredible legacies to their graves.
