We will taste various spirits produced by Grappa Nonino neat in a classroom style in our event space, and guests will also receive one full-sized cocktail grappa-based cocktail of their choice from Ray’s Bar.Since 1897, this 5th generation female-led family business in Friuli has revolutionized the method of producing Italian grappa and made strides globally, introducing it to and through a younger generation.
Francesca will guide you through a curated tasting experience featuring exquisite grappas, aromatic amari, and expertly crafted cocktails. The Nonino family pioneered the production of single-varietal grappa, showcasing the unique characteristics of individual grape varieties. In 1997, they introduced Amaro Nonino, a beloved herbal liqueur that artfully blends their grappa with a variety of botanicals, offering a complex flavor profile that has garnered international acclaim.
As a member of the legendary Nonino family, Francesca brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the craft of distillation. You’ll learn about the unique processes that make Nonino’s products exceptional, from the selection of the finest grapes to the art of aging and blending. Francesca urges bartenders to set aside past perceptions when it comes to grappa. “Be brave and mix grappa! Grappa Nonino is so versatile it can be the main protagonist of the cocktail or a delicious Italian twist to any mix,” she says.
