About this Event
For Ages 9 to 11 – Students will draw inspiration from the artwork of the French Impressionists, as well their use of light and choice of subjects. They’ll learn the Impressionist painting styles and techniques, and discover that the way we make art and the subjects we choose can inspire change and create a movement! We will explore themes such as leisure, entertainment, nature, color, light and value, texture and form, and use a variety of mediums. Students will learn about Impressionist artists such as Degas, Cassatt, Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, Renoir, and more. All supplies are provided and included in the price of the class.
