In this session, we’ll dive into the symbolism of the Lunar New Year and the artistic techniques used to create traditional door decor. Robyn will guide you step-by-step through the brushwork needed to create your own hand-written banners. No prior experience with Chinese language or calligraphy is required—this class is designed for everyone to enjoy the process of creating meaningful art. You’ll leave with a set of custom banners ready to bring joy to your home for the Year of the Fire Horse!

About the teacher:
Robyn is an educator and an ardent student of Chinese language and culture. While obtaining a Master's degree in Beijing, Robyn learned the ancient beauty of Chinese writing, and finds relaxation in creating artwork with these deeply meaningful characters.
