Naturalist, artist, and explorer Roseann Hanson will share the history of human exploration and curiosity expressed in field sketching and journaling, from the stone age to today, and why it’s still an essential activity. In this age of digital dominance in our communications, she will build a case as to why we cannot lose the analog activity of observation, drawing, and writing (by hand!) about the natural world is the key to connecting more people to science and nature conservation, as well as a path to personal well-being.Doors open at 6:30pm.
