A beginner’s pottery class in 2015 sparked her passion for ceramics, helping her through a difficult period of depression. She recently graduated with an honors degree in sculpture from Waikato Institute of Technology, focusing on ceramics. Alex enjoys passing on her knowledge through teaching at pottery societies and through Mystery Creek Ceramics, where she creates colorful, functional objects.
