About this Event

This course examines effective practices for managing and supervising employees, including tools for setting expectations, managing conflict, inviting participation and making decisions. We'll discuss employee engagement and why it matters, including understanding the significant ways manager behavior impacts employee performance.

Course Objectives:

  • Understand and articulate the key drivers of employee engagement that Gallup measures and their impact on organizational performance
  • Recognize and apply seven insights of managers who inspire employee engagement
  • Learn how to model and teach related behaviors to supervisors throughout the organization​

This workshop will be led by Allison Linney, President and Founder of Allison Partners, a woman-owned small business founded with the belief that people are at the core of an organization’s success. After working as a consultant within Accenture’s Human Performance Service Line, Allison received an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, launching Allison Partners as an entrepreneurial venture during her studies. Together with her colleagues, Allison brings both sound theory and practical experience to the challenges of organizational development.

During her career, Allison has helped leaders, managers and employees be more effective in industries ranging from consumer products to government services to publishing, and she has more than 20 years of experience working in health care. Her expertise spans communication strategy and implementation, leadership development, professional coaching, organization design and development, group facilitation, training design, diversity and inclusion programs, project management, change management, and process engineering

Now in its 24th year, Allison Partners serves clients throughout Virginia and around the globe. The nature and duration of Allison Partners engagements are tailored to meet the needs and circumstances of a variety of clients, ranging from individual coaching support to multi-year strategic engagements.
