About this Event

"Since it is impossible to fulfil all our desires or to stop unwanted things happening to us, we need to find a different way of relating to frustrated desires and unwanted occurrences. We need to learn patient acceptance." - Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as our problem, and this all too often leads to a negative inner response such as anger, frustration, stress and irritation. But in reality whatever problems we experience come from the side of the mind. If we were to respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us; indeed, we may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development.

During this 4-week series we will learn tried and tested methods to overcome the painful states of anger and frustration by training in its opposite, patient acceptance. By training to become deeply familiar with patience our relationship to difficult circumstances will change, and we will gradually develop the ability to remain peaceful and happy whatever occurs.

No meditation experience is necessary and everybody is welcome to join the series for any week.

This course is also available in-person on Tuesday night. [CLICK HERE TO BOOK TUES]
