Ralf Huber was born in Laufenburg, Switzerland and lived in Germany until he moved to the United State in 2003, he has lived in Eugene, OR since 2010. Huber spent almost 30 years designing commemorative coins before he started creating his own art in 2020.
Huber’s mixed media assemblage art draws heavily from the time of the industrial revolution of the 19th century into the early 20th century and addresses the issue of industry using children as human capital.
